Mohan, an alcoholic, gets married to Sharada, a music teacher. Tragedy soon strikes their life when Antony sets his eyes on Sharada and tries to take undue advantage of her.

Yashodha gets separated from her daughter, Krishnaveni, due to her mother-in-law's scheming and loses her sanity. However, years later, Krishnaveni reunites with her mother in a mental asylum.
